It was, he had decided, time to explore these lands. As Light King, his many duties would be made far easier if he had a basic knowledge of the realm. Besides, there was a possibility of him meeting some more wolves, something which, in his opinion, was likely to be a pleasurable experience, as long as he did his best to ignore the arguments caused last time he conversed with the inhabitants of this empire. Tsarr did, in many ways, feel much more light-hearted and free than he had in a long time. True, he did have responsibilities here, but they seemed only minor when he considered the thought of racing through the foliage as he did so now. The ground seemed to flow beneath his paws, plume brushing from side to side as he weaved in and out of the darkness. This terrain did not seem particularly welcoming, for it was dark and appeared almost haunted, but Tsarr did not allow these petty thoughts to bother him. His stiff limbs gave him no trouble today, though under most circumstances the cold weather did not help with the pains of growing old. Old, Tsarr decided, was simply a term that youth used to describe those far wiser and stronger than themselves. When he was younger, elders had been respected. But that was long ago, and now good manners almost failed to exist in the younger generation.
Nothing could ruin his good mood today, he was certain. The feeling of the icy wind rushing against his body made him want to spread his wings and soar into the skies, though, of course, he had no wings. Still, it was a nice thought. Head raised skywards, lips parting as he released a deep, powerful song. The song of the wolf. His voice seemed to weave in and out of the trees, like a snake stalking its prey. The call would alert all others to his whereabouts, preventing his sudden appearance from shocking them. In the time he had been here, Tsarr had explored very little. It was a shame, really, for as a cub he had been unusually adventurous. But as he grew older, certain responsibilites had prevented him from doing so, and he had been forced to rely on instinct alone. And now, he was almost dancing through the shadows, holding a crown to his name and still with time to spare. It was as though he was an actor in a pantomine, a perfomer on the stage that was the world. Happiness was a good feeling, and it seemed that Tsarr had experienced true happiness already on more than one occasion. But then, as his ancestors had once said, happiness ran with the wolf.
ooc: a little short again, and i apologise for it. but i'm completely museless at the moment, having just finished a few other posts elsewhere that have been somewhat lengthly, even by my standards -_-
