Moonshadow surveyed the landscape that lay before him. It was barren, except for the scent of blood. But then, he scented someone else...a female. He knew by the looks that this land was unclaimed, and was interested. Even though he was new to this land, he felt like he had known this place all his life... Eerie. But he pushed the thought to the back of his mind and gave a short, "Who's there?" bark, and awaited a reply.
The vix trotted into the cool valley. She was a newcomer to this valley, and was fatigued from her long walk. However, she pushed the reasons for the walk to the back of her mind...
No, not now. Don't think about that now.
But she knew she could not hold back the truth for long. But for now, she walked over to the cool crystal pond on her starboard point. SHe lapped up the icy liquid, not taking her eyes off the breathtaking scene that lay before her. Finished with her drink, she lay on the bank, in the sun-bathed field of flowers that blossomed around her, and sank into a light sleep.
